INITIAL EXAMINATION

At your initial evaluation, your orthopedic surgeon will examine your injury and thoroughly discuss any concerns or problems that you might be having. Treatment options may be discussed at this time, also.

PRE-OPERATIVE CHECK-UPS / POST-OPERATIVE FOLLOW-UPS

If surgery is not immediately indicated, your surgeon may refer you to physical therapy. As you attend therapy, check-ups will be scheduled to follow your progress and to determine if therapy is actually eliminating surgical intervention.
Sometimes prior to surgery, physical therapy can be highly beneficial also.
After surgery, follow-up appointments will be made to monitor your healing process. Your orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist will work in conjunction with one another to assist you through the post-op period.

SURGERY

Our surgeons operate at Texas Midwest Surgical Center, Hendrick Medical Center, and Abilene Regional Medical Center.

X-RAY / MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI)

If deemed necessary, an X-ray can be taken here at our office. An open MRI scan may also be performed here at our office if necessary.  MRI reveals better detail about the structure of the joints, soft tissues, and bones of the body. Your surgeon will then discuss your results and options with you.
